Well, we have to give it to American Express for being in the forefront of Social Media. They’ve come up with a new way for card holders to earn bonus cashback. The catch? You have to link your Amex card to your Twitter account and then tweet specific promotion hashtags (Ex. #Mcd) to get the deal.

So for an example, the current promotion offer Amex card holders who synced their card to Twitter $5 cashback at McDonalds when you spend at least $5 and pay for the purchase using your Amex card. To get the deal, you simply tweet #AmexMcDonalds and the offer is activated. Next time when you use your Amex card at McDonalds for purchases over $5, the $5 cashback will appear a few days later on your statement.

While not perfect and the fact that you’re shilling for these companies aside, the cashback bonus offers are enticing. So far, McDonalds, BestBuy, and H&M are participating. So will you join the cashback promotion for Amex?
